If if it works and we actually discover reactionless engines technology, than that could boost investments in fusion tech companies by several order of magnitudes as those engines will need a suitable power supply and solar is not the answer in deep space....

Each day, I look hopefully at Celestrak...

each day, OTP-2 continues to descend.

Sigh.

I check it everyday also, but I am not sure if they turn it on yet or no.

Well, as hope fades for the IVO Quantum Drive, yet another company appears on the horizon:

I don't have the mental energy to try to understand how they claim it works, but in a recent tweet, they mentioned a 2026 orbital test.

I've read this through twice now. If I understand correctly, it's basically a spinning magnetic spring where the released spring energy is directed toward the direction of travel, and the driving energy comes from the motor spinning the magnetic rotor.

Just saw that too. It may succeed (I am very skeptical) or it may fail. Either way, excitement is guaranteed ;)

This is sad. One might not agree with him on his theories, but I still feel sorry for the loss.

Well that sucks. I had hoped he would see the fulfillment of the idea on which he worked so hard.
