My head still hurts. I am going to rest it for a little while on this. I think maybe I am beginning to catch a glimmer, but I don't want to force it!

It's complex and slippery. I've beeen studying this concept for a couple years now and I'm still surprised sometimes.

Aside from Italy - Polywell seems to be an English speaking world phenomenon.

Also note the rising numbers until the Polywell contract was let in August of 2007.

Update on Figures

Post by PolyGirl »

Current figures are:

Robert Bussard gives 138,000 down from 167,00
Bussard Fusion gives 61,500 up from 32,100
Polywell Fusion gives 10,400 down from 18,500
Bussard Polywell gives 3,360 down from 12,800
Bussard Polywell Fusion gives 3,430 down from 12,300

The current figures are for the 29 of March 2009 and the previous figures where for the 22 of February 2009.

Do not ask me why Google is not showing 'consistent' figures, your guess is as good as mine.

Probably the MSNBC article, the Instapundit link, and the finance story.

Could this be gathering momentum? OK, probably not. Still fun though.

Current Numbers

Post by PolyGirl »

Current figures are:

Robert Bussard gives 70,900
Bussard Fusion gives 22,800
Polywell Fusion gives 27,700
Bussard Polywell gives 5,030
Bussard Polywell Fusion gives 4,680

Could someone please run the numbers on the other side of the pacific (in America!) and see what you come up with. These numbers were generated from down under (Australia). Although this should not make any difference.

The numbers are all other the place, but Polywell Fusion has gone up substantially.

And this phrase:
Why hasn't Polywell Fusion been fully funded by the Obama administration?

Yes, I know this is a very old thread and I was just creating a post in regards to the MIT fusion researchers at Slashdot. When I remembered this particular thread. So in light of that I was curious to see what the numbers are and of course I looked up the values.

Robert Bussard 297,000
Bussard Fusion 78,000
Polywell Fusion 64,700
Bussard Polywell 34,600
Bussard Polywell Fusion 14,400

So in three years the numbers have definitely gone.
