I think its the way to go if none of these fusion concepts work out.

Just the thing for a hands-off installation such as a Moon or Mars base, or an interplanetary 'ferry'. FWIW, it would do nicely as the 'boot' supply for an isolated WB site...

Sounds like a variation of Toshiba's 4S (Super Safe, Small and Simple) “nuclear battery” reactor design that may be installed in Galena AK.
