I maintain that progress to 8.1 means that 8.0 worked for D-D well enough to justify taking a crack at PB&J. So at that point, the minimum success point is met, D-D is viable.
We went from around the start of fall of 2011 to the start of spring of 2012, now to the start of fall of 2012, you guys......

I dont like to complain, but seriously, wtf.... We've all been following this for like at least 3 years now. I guess the only thing that will calm nerves is for Dr Nebel or Dr Park to come out and say something, only to disappear back into the forest again.

I actually think it is encouraging in a sense that FPDS has held the 30 June, 2012 completion target for a relative while now. So, from that point of view, we can expect either movement on money (8.1?) or no movement by probably March, 2012. Given that the 8.0 money is now spent, it means something will have to give. And we should see it give.

Ladajo,
Thanks for finding those money trail links. At least we have a chance now to have some idea on the progress.
Best regards

From the first link:

http://ntrs.nasa.gov/archive/nasa/casi. ... 106228.pdf
the Earth's
gravitational field is the strongest on the outside, and zero in the center.
I thought this a point lost on many. It came up in a conversation I had the other day, and the guy I was talking with could not grasp the idea. I was speaking with him on relativity. Anyway, back to Polywell...

Yellow sticky on second link table is very annoying...

Third link has a nice section discussing concepts of grid cooling and some other good thoughts on a deep space application.

Those links give a 503 "temporarily down" message.

Someone grabbed a copy before that happened?

The conspirator in me is crying "going dark" lol, in all likelihood it's just site maintenance.

Don't know if it's related but portions of the NASA net are down for maintenance over the weekend.

I just hit the link again and it worked fine. Give it another try.

Now I can see them.

AND OH what I would give to have the international community build a polywell on the international space station to test T+T vs p B11 reactions as fuel/thrust (to confirm the theory of course). Maybe an arm, maybe all my appendages.

Nah. I didn't mean the unavailability, but the fact the pdf(at least what i got from that link) has some scrabbled portions in it. Looks like scan artifacts.
Or censor
