Bussard ramjet has a song,
E-I-E-I-O
Electrons circling all night long,
E-I-E-I-O
With a neutron here and a proton there,
tritium and boron everywhere...
Bussard ramjet has a song,
E-I-E-I-O

Second verse, kinda like the first -
a little bit louder, a little bit worse...

Bussard ramjet has a song,
E-I-E-I-O
Size it up and it gets strong
E-I-E-I-O
A meter here, ten meters there
powering towns and cities everywhere...
Bussard ramjet has a song,
E-I-E-I-O

THIRD verse, same as the first,
Though the rhyming gets a little bit worse!

Bussard ramjet has a song,
E-I-E-I-O
Out in space where it belongs,
E-I-E-I-O
The VX-200's a very nice fit,
powers it up for a fast space flit...
Bussard ramjet has a song,
E-I-E-I-O

(I could keep going for a bit... but this is probably enough torture for the time being... Many thanks to MSimon for the tile of this thread, which (after too many repetitions of 'Old McDonald' to the offspring) may be engraved in my cortex forever...)

Nice tune. But, need a term for Polywell instead of ramjet.
I cannot think of a good two sylable word to use. Perhaps using Fusor like what is used for gridded machines like "Farnsworth Hirsch Fusor" would work.

Bussard's Fusor has a song,
E_I_E_I_O.....

Or perhaps: Bussard's Magnetically Shielded Dynamic Electrostatic Confinement Polywell Device has a song,
E_I_E_I_O... :)

Hmmm. You're right - got too caught up in the thread title.

How about "Polywell Power"? That fits in okay for "Bussard Ramjet"...

I like BuFR (boofer). Beefer makes me look for the barbecue.

What would you do for a BuFR?

For a song? Agree. beefer is barbecue, while boofer, reminiscent of woofer, *does* make me want to crank the tunes!

Heard at a 2057 heavy metal concert: "Crank up the BuFR and plug in the woofer!"

Plus, when they start selling like hotcakes, we can advertise our combination trasholine/powerplant designs as the "BuFR Twofer!"
