This second link is calling the process "clean" but hydrogen fusion isn't aneutronic, is it? I thought the whole point of B11 fusion was it was clean compared to H fusion.

p-p fusion is itself aneutronic. it does produce a deuterium, which could hypothetically hit another deuterium . But the cross section for p-p fusion is so ridiculously small I don't think there is a way to even measure it on earth. To even mention it as a possible fuel blows any credibility I see.

This patent seems to be only about the container for the fusion.

Agreed. And I wonder why DHe3 wasn't cited - its nearly as "easy" as DD, and is publicly credited as "aneutronic."
