"What Presidential candidate is most up on fusion and specifically the Bussard Fusion Reactor Program? Interesting question. Which candidate was interested enough to have his staffers look deeper into it in August of 2007? The answer? John McCain."

I decided to look up McCain's Climate Change page to see if it could give us any hints on what he might do if WB-7 is a success.

I'm going to cherry pick because I don't want to get into a climate debate. You will excuse the usual political boilerplate:
John McCain Will Streamline The Process For Deploying New Technologies And Requiring More Accountability From Government Programs To Meet Commercialization Goals And Deadlines.

John McCain Will Ensure Rapid Technology Introduction, Quickly Shifting Research From The Laboratory To The Marketplace.
I'd say if WB-7 is positive further work will get a full court press. It will not be a research oriented program. It will be development oriented.

My guess is that no matter who becomes President McCain's ideas as enunciated above will be embodied in any future Polywell developments.
