Then we keep our fingers crossed and hope for some specifications for an actual cell. Claiming you have a Li-S battery with commercially relevant performance without giving any numbers is like saying you can do energy fusion without giving a triple product.
Generally speaking: It is nice to see the sheer number of articles on the Li-S technology beeing published. New information everyday from labs all over the world.
With some of the experimental cells showing performance inching towards usefulness. And one or two (maybe three, depending on whether the Oxis company should be counted) companies claiming to have an actual product.
There will never be a Moore´s law of battery. But what, however, do grow exponentially in relation to gravimetric energy density is usefulness. So three times the energy density of Li-ion AND a better resource strain profile should be a substantial improvement of national security.

Quoting from the video (starting around the 46:30 mark):
So hopefully more news by September.I just want to give you an update because we're, as I mentioned, building our pilot line here ... We are bringing that online this summer, it's really down to the last couple of weeks of getting the final permitting and commissioning of this and then we'll be running full steam ahead with producing lithium sulfur batteries later this summer and transitioning a lot of the development work we've done up to that larger scale ... Now everything's all plugged in and lined up here and ready to go.
