We should have likes

thread likes and post likes. And unlikes. I don't think one should invalidate the other; both how many likes and how many dislikes should be preserved.
It helps politeness, I believe. The ignore function is a bit too harsh for effective education.
Most of all I think it would make it easier to tolerate those who are propagandized. And disindoctrinate them.
And if there's a system at the thread or post level and I missed it, thanks in advance for helping me by revealing the details.
