Old Name?

Post by KitemanSA »

Did EMC2 used to be called Pacific-Sierra Research Corporation? They once had the trademark on "Polywell".

Thank you!
You know, this is a bit odd since his FIRST patent was file in 1985 under the company name EMC2. I wonder if he changed the name temporarily or just consulted for them. In either case it is odd that THEY put in for the tradename.

Veridian yesterday said that an agreement had been reached to acquire Pacific-Sierra Research (PSR), a leading supplier of information technology products and services to the defense and intelligence communities.

"Pacific-Sierra's superb capabilities--particularly in the areas of information management and intelligence--are an important complement to our existing information systems solutions and engineering capabilities," said Veridian CEO David Langstaff in a statement.

Wow,

1998-1999 I worked for General Dynamics. I started with GTE DSSD. When GTE merged with Bell Atlantic and became Verizon, that division was sold to GD. It seems Veridian was aquired by GD in 2003.
