I'm bad at searching the theory forum for this sort of thing, and this is a long shot based on a conversation I had with Wolfram Alpha (it's that kind of night)....
Does anyone have a decent simulation they can try this shape in "Gyroelongated square bipyramid" or have any idea how Johnson Solids might impact polywell performance?

The one called the Elongated Square Gyrobicupola meets the basic definition for a Polywell, but since it is not symetrical around each vertex, I'm not sure how good it would be.

The Cuboctahedron is included in the EMC2 patent. I think it is fully symetrical through the center. Any line drawn through the center will hit the magnet can at equal radii from the center and the shapes match- no open spaces on one side facing a magnet can on the other. I think this is truly quasi spherical. Most of the other shapes , while not fully symmetrical in this manner may work. I don't know if the symmetry has to be absolute or if there can be average considerations.
