Ion Filtration Advances

Post by Keegan »

One of the major issues in polywell design stumping even that of the good Doctor B, was that of separating the fuel and reaction products and evacuating the later.

This may prove very helpful http://www.csiro.au/news/FantasticPlastic.html

If it can differentiate between CO2 and CH4. It should be able to sort Boron and Helium.

*Thumbs Up* CSIRO

Molecular, not atomic, filtering

It's not clear from their description that atomic-level filtering would work.

Sorting boron and helium should not be a problem. Boron condenses at room temps. Helium does not.
