Friends and fusioneers. Its been more than a year now since i started this voyage of discovery, following the work of many great minds before me. During it all i have made a deliberate attempt to keep my mind open, but never in my wildest dreams could i have anticipated where it has led.

Some of you may recal my previous Polyart thread. Then and still now

My objective is to give new meaning to the term

Prior Art

This excellent set of drawings depicts the evolution of the wiffle ball at the polywell's heart. Starting with a pure magnetic mirror, as electrons are injected, they deform the magnetic fields with their kinetic pressure.

Pay attention to the pictures on the top right and bottom left.

Yes... they are crop cirlcles. England 2006.

I can even see a fusion core inside the virtual cathode.

But wait theres more !

Here is an excellent rendering of a wiffle ball made by kcdodd in this thread

The resemblance is just uncanny...

This is some very early conceptual art of the entire reactor space i never published here.

My concepts have advanced significantly since then, but i was still blown away when i saw .....

Amazing ......

Im just going to have to leave this thread open.

I have some idea as to what may be going on.

Here and now is not the place. Lets keep Talk Polywell respectable.

It may just be some cosmic joke.

Only time will tell.

Only 4 years left ....

Anyone ever see that old Steven Spielburg movie called "Explorers?"
The basic story is that a design for an force field and propulsion system is sent (by aliens) to a smart young boy in a dream. An occasion of art immitating reality ? You be the judge. :)

Yeah I remember that movie. And whatever was in the forcefield bubble wouldn't feel inertia as the bubble accelerated into space =)

As for the crop circles, I don't think "the aliens" are trying to tell us something. The hoaxers that make crop circles use ropes and wooden boards as they spiral outward, so naturally they're going to make a lot of visually appealing circular shapes. Enough shapes like that and your bound to come up with something like the polywell.

John P asked "Wait a minute... are you sayin' Bussard was an alien??"

That's another of those topics that needs to be left for later. One day I'll tell.

He would have gotten a hoot out of those crop circles. Thanks.

It is amazing how the human brain gloms onto patterns. Like staring at random stone floors and seeing faces. But I love the title "Prior Art". That is really fantastic and funny!
