I already have some primitive ones, here:

Suck very much, but its a start. I just need to figure out a way to resize them easily.
We present evidence and argue with sceptics. The difficult thing is try to get the good results of this campaign without being classified as "smoke sellers". We have to take care of not being mixed with cold fusion and all these stuff
The idea is to spread the word, not to convince hot-shot investors. With more people, comes more interest and possibly with investors. We should remember that the only kind of investor that will solve EMC2 needs are great investors. I dough they will convinced with this campaign
Yeppers. However, clearly Zixinus needs a bit of help from someone with artistic talent. Smile
I PMed a guy that runs "The Far Reaches" (http://www.thefarreaches.com/index.php). He said he will take a look, but made no promises. I'll ask some other webcomic artists, but I don't know any personally, so its unlikely.Does anyone know a graphic artist who could whip up a logo for use on this site, and in places like forum signatures?
Sure thing, and sorry for snagging your logo without asking. If you're going to snag my graphic, I'd appreciate it if you include a link to talk-polywell.org as well.
That's where the sig will lead. emc2fusion.org and polywell.org are more "official" sites however. In fact, if you want a single URL, I'd suggest http://www.strout.net/info/science/polywell/, which links to here (talk-polywell.org) as well as to emc2fusion.org.
From what exactly? Charlatans with nonsensical claims get more money then some promising branches of scientific research. They may be even true, but in todays society of of "over hyped" commercialism, it may be a deterrent.
That's what we want to do as well. I myself am not interested in theoretical musings. What Bussard really needs to do is push the physical and engineering reality.
The thing will be DEVELOPED in 6 years (at best, most likely a decade). How fast it will change the world is entirely unpredictable. What is important that we will LIVE to ultimately see it change the world.Pushing the fact that "it will change the world" within 6 years, I believe will only harm his cause.
I can see where I may have come across to strong, I apologize it wasn't my intentions. I guess I've seen technologies just get passed by because of the "to good to be true" factor. The thing will be DEVELOPED in 6 years (at best, most likely a decade). How fast it will change the world is entirely unpredictable. What is important that we will LIVE to ultimately see it change the world.
And we need to push the fast development time. Nobody cares about a research project that *might* wield results after half a century.
ITER already would cost more then the Space Shuttle, eats up 85% of fusion money the USA has, and yet its advocates still think its way underfunded. When will we get anything with it? In the 2020's or 2030's. If building isn't further delayed. We *might* see a power plant easily surpassed by fission designs for a thousandth of the money required by 2050's. I'll have grandkids by then.
I agree that Polywell should work primary towards building a rock-solid scientific and engineering foundation, but spreading the word is our main tread of hope we can do right now. Next to trying to replicate the thing, like Mr.Simon is doing. If we can induce discussion, we can help the cause.
Furthermore, you misunderstand the purpose of this site. We're not advisor of EMC2, we are mere supporters trying to help spread the word best we can.
