FYI

A week ago I attended a lecture given by Sen John McCain given to the Economic Club of South West Michigan.

In the question and answer session following the lecture I asked about resuming funding for Robert Bussard's project. Sen McCain said that he was unaware of the project but would like to talk to me about it.

Afterwards a aid of his spoke with me and I emailed a summary to them.

If any of you have a better summary or presentation, this might be an opportunity to get a presidential candidate and his aids up to speed on the issue.

Everything about Polywell on the net: http://www.strout.net/info/science/polywell/

But really, the best way would be contacting EMC2 and Mr.McCain together, so EMC2 could show what they have. Results of viability could be found out within his first year as president, and the future would praise his genius for recognising the genius. And if it doesn't work, it can easily be swept under the rug. After all, cold fusion gets 2 million a year.

I hear that claim periodically, but have never seen a citation on it. Who's getting this money, and from whom?

I wouldn't want polywell research to be associated with the cold fusion crowd, but still, maybe there are some lessons to be learned there.

The packet I forwarded to the aid had most of what is on the Mr. Strout's web site, except the youtube vids.

I tried to insert some summaries, such as excerpts from the "Fighting for fusion" article, rather than simply links.

It's not like there is any effort to hide information, a lot is out there.

I'm just surprised the U of Wisconson, University of Illinois or Purdue University doesn't run some tests with a WB6 device. Considering the millions invested in stadiums, a running polywell, even small, would be a big boost to a universities program at a fraction of the cost.

Do engineer's support alum bldg projects, and not just stadiums?
