It's the ultimate in democracy, and you hate democracy, don't you?
Peer review has nothing to do with democracy, as only a few individuals, selected by even fewer individuals, make judgments on the papers submitted.

It is supposed to detect and correct flawed methodologies and reasoning; there is a growing body of evidence that it is failing at this goal.

The alternative offered in the referenced post is at the very least thought-provoking, if one is into having one's thoughts provoked.

Please don't respond to the spammer in one of my threads. He is just spamming me and I don't want to give him the idea that I am paying the least little attention to anything he says.

With all due respect, you are not only paying attention to him, you appear to be deliberately trying to lure him into even more of your threads.

I said he was a spammer.
We need a directorate of science, and we need it to be voted on only by scientists. You don't get to vote on reality. Get over it. Elected officials that deny the findings of the Science Directorate are subject to immediate impeachment for incompetence.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Why? because I post pictures. I was going to do that anyway. These are my pictures, that I wanted to share. The pictures are for everybody else to enjoy, regardless of what he does. As for paying attention to him, I've had him on ignore for some time and was only checking in from time to time to see if he was being truly obnoxious. I just figured out how to play with the picture feature and uploaded a few of them and he started spamming away at me. So as far as I am concerned everything he post is spam and I won't even see it. I don't know what compels him to keep spamming away. At least I have the chance to come up with creative ways to piss on spammers. Quoting his spam only forces the rest of us to see it. If you want to have a dialog with him, crazy as it is, just start a thread. Don't force me to share his nonsense.

You know what it means, jeffster. You've tried to shut me up by getting me kicked off sites for it several times.

Go home to RnR or whatever other... hole you usually infest.

Spammers live under very strange compulsions, and believe four impossible things before breakfast.

Whatever you say, Unit 61398.

Your buddies the Soviets tried denying peer review and wound up with Lamarckism. Snicker.

Why's that, Unit 61398?

I mean, you seem to be doing fine spamming it right now, is why I ask.
