The high priests behind the scenes. It's not science and it's not pretty:

The deeper you look into those clowns the quicker the whole idea of humanity causing global warming falls apart.

I was part of the whole Climate Gate thing in the first few hours of its breaking. When Mosher (now a warmist) was writing the history of that time he asked me what I was doing.

I was lucky because I usually am up nights. So I was one of the first.

I probably left some links around here when the news was breaking.
Engineering is the art of making what you want from what you can get at a profit.

I looked and I know that I put a link in the long climate thread that was running then. I don't remember if I saw the news first on your blog or someplace else. In any case, once you started to read the stuff, it was obvious that something was really wrong with what they were doing. The thing about real science is that when it happens, it's a burst of beautiful creation, not trying to hide things all jumbled up in a sausage.

I like that - it's clear and succinct. And when someone's screaming 'The science is settled!' while not showing their work, their data sets, or the black box that's chewing up their data sets and spitting out their results, that's the point where you REALLY have to start being skeptical.
When opinion and reality conflict - guess which one is going to win in the long run.
