Please show me the law that makes your satement true.
The Wire Act is one such law, however more recent legislation such as this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SAFE_Port_Act

"Title VIII of the Act is also known as the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 (or UIGEA). This title (found at 31 U.S.C. §§ 5361–5367) "prohibits gambling businesses from knowingly accepting payments in connection with the participation of another person in a bet or wager that involves the use of the Internet and that is unlawful under any federal or state law."[5] The act specifically excludes fantasy sports, that meet certain requirements, and legal intra-state and inter-tribal gaming. It does not expressly mention state lotteries; nor does it clarify whether inter-state wagering on horse racing is legal. The Economist has written that these provisions were "hastily tacked onto the end of unrelated legislation".[6]"

Wire act only applies to sports betting. At least according to the fifth district court.

As you show here the UIGEA requires underlying legoalation making online poker illegal. If it ain't the wire act what is it. This indictment says its new york state misdemeanor laws.
