I'm not saying there aren't some minor protests about potential war with Iran, but I haven't seen any. The most recent protests I can recall (and I'm on a major college campus most of the time) are the occupy movement, tuition hikes, and the Armenian genocide, nothing on Iran yet sorry. While I doubt most Americans want to go to war, I just don't see this on our radar as a concern at this time. If Iran keeps posturing, then sure, we'll have ourselves another 6 day war, but until then, not likely.

They are German submarines, variants of the HDW Type 209 and the latest of the HDW type 2012 (or the export version 2014). I think some of them are built with license in Israel now (Israelis buying German weapons has a weird taste, I guess).There's also Israel's small but growing fleet of submarines, capable of using, and rumored to be equipped with, nuclear weapons.
These submarines dont have silos for ballistic missiles, but they could probably launch small cruise missiles from their torpedo tubes.
