It has been my experience that, while laid back, most pot smokers are fairly industrious.
The "lazy bum pot smoker" stereotype is not the norm, but a lot of lazy bums smoke pot, because it lets them continue to be relaxed even though their life is shit and they really should be dissatisfied and working on improving it.

Escapists.

I just talked to a friend of mine the other day. He is a socialist politician (but otherwise a nice guy) and as such for the legalization of pot here. But he himself would not smoke it. He nicely stated (what I have been observing and saying as well) that prolonged and frequent pot smoking makes people "a bit soft in the pear".

Not surprising...but I would favor legal with regulation. Just like alcohol content in beer/wine. Even pot legally sold would have its THC content legally regulated. I understand that illegal pot's THC content has sky-rocked since the woodstock days.

Well, I am for decriminalization but not for legalization. IMHO that is a big difference.
