Ah, when did politics become so one-dimensionsal?
Yepp, that has been my feeling for a while too. To so many people, it is either left or right, black or white and only this or that. This polarization is IMHO not healthy and it is the result of emotional hate- campaigns during a time when rationalism would be more important than ever in politics.

And you have long ceased being worth arguing with.

Of course. People who are actually conservative think far more efficiently.

Who is surprised?

Given that effort is no measure of the quality of a decision, I think it's rather more interesting to view the study in terms of how certain circumstances could influence the outcome of a discussion or a vote. And to analyse where and how parties are trying to use this to their advantage.

Confirmed: Conservatives understand liberal positions better than liberals understand conservative positions
At The American, AEI resident scholar Andrew Biggs highlights an interesting study that confirms what most conservatives probably already know to be true of themselves: We understand why our liberal friends think what they think more than they understand why we think what we think.

Liberals and conservatives are all idiots. Only libertarians get it right. And left. From all sides in fact.

And I resent not being the premier moron. How did I lose my standing?

Do you have any idea what that does to my self esteem?
