The problems are not insoluble. Just intractable.

Reading the thread I had been pleasantly surprised that you were discussing a topic and *NOT* steering it into a discussion about weed. And then I got to this comment.

Weren't the original total number of Palestinians displaced by the Israeli's around 60,000, but the birth rate per Palestinian women around X10 for a couple of generations now. I've heard European commentators claim the Israeli policy towards them is genocide and the Gaza is a death camp, however it has the highest birthrate in the world.

What have you got against yourself? Your body is full of cannabinoids. You are against the discussion of medicine? What? 2AG is not a proper topic of discussion? You got some funny prejudices.

BTW the medical use of cannabinoids if fully developed could fill most of our budget hole. They regulate every system in the body.

The birth rate differential is propaganda.

And Gaza is a death camp because they sent suicide bombers into Israel. So the Israelis sealed them off. The people of Gaza got what they voted for. A continuous war with the Israelis. War makes some places unlivable. But that is what the Gazans voted for.

The Arabs elsewhere in Israel are doing better.

BTW any idea why Egypt gas it in for the Arabs of Gaza?

I didn't like being made to go to church either. I rebel against people trying to force me to "improve" my morals.

Yeah? Not so much.

Recreational Pot Not Bringing In Tax Money That Was Expected

DENVER (CBS4) – High hopes for tax money isn’t as expected as the state’s legal marijuana industry isn’t bringing in as much money as anticipated. In fact, tax revenue is way below expectations.

That says one of a few things or all of them.

1. With the current tax rate the black market black market is cheaper.
2. People would rather grow their own.
3, There are not as many pot smokers as estimated. Or they don't use as much as estimated. Or both.
4. Some people are still not comfortable having their purchases recorded.

It does give law enforcement more time to go after murders, rapists, robbers, car hijackers, and assorted real miscreants.

The real benefit will come from things like eliminating some (all?) cancers and other assorted dysfunctions of the endocannabinoid systems of the body.

But you say all these things would not come true,
1. With the current tax rate the black market black market is cheaper.
2. People would rather grow their own.
3, There are not as many pot smokers as estimated. Or they don't use as much as estimated. Or both.
4. Some people are still not comfortable having their purchases recorded.

Black market would be unprofitable.
It would be a taxable business not a grow your own fest
More people would be smokers
I will let number four slide because I do not even like my legal purchases recorded.

or are these :D Growing Pains :D

That's obviously and stupidly wrong and makes one wonder by what these commentators are having their perspective twisted. If the Israeli policy toward the Palestinians were genocide, they would all have died the week after that policy were made. Israel could easily squash them like a bug. Any commentator who fails to realize this is too stupid for their job.

If Gaza is intended as an Israeli run death camp, it is among the most incompetently run death camps in history. Neither are the residents headed towards extinction, nor are they used as slave labor by Israel.
The daylight is uncomfortably bright for eyes so long in the dark.
