'Keeping jobs in-house' at ITER.

Post by chrismb »

(ITER barely qualifies as new, now, does it??...)

I noticed that they've been recruiting for 'Head of ITER' recently;

You might note this is a permanent position with the requirement;
"This publication concerns a permanent position and, therefore, the candidate must be an EU official in an EU Institution or Agency / Body."

However, with a closing date of 06th Jan., it looks like they've no takers for it (the words 'chalice' and 'poisoned' might spring to mind?). So it has now been re-advertised as a 'temporary position' only (without the old(EU)-boy-network requirement), closing date 17th Jan.;

(The thing is, if a non-[EU official] may be worth recruiting to do the job for a little bit, why wouldn't they be worth recruiting permanently?)

Any takers?
