Yeah, they did nothing significant for 8 years, then all off a sudden BOOM! They occur just as Obama Takes office. Likewise the Stockmarket. 8 Years and it creeps steadily upward, and as soon as Barack wins the election, it plummets down to 6500 in just a couple of months. Boy, those Bush Policies sure are sneaky!

He actually started before that. The stock market started tanking as soon as it was perceived he might win, and it kept a steady decline for months thereafter. As for the Chart, the chart is delineated by year, so It doesn't distinguish between when he started and when the deficits occurred. If I remember, the deficits occurred when he submitted his budget, which was quite a bit later in the year. If you want a more accurate assessment of when they started, you need a month by month chart.
Either way, Barack IS the cause.

Barack voted for the TARP program as a Senator prior to taking office as President, but I don't hold him solely accountable for that fiasco. John McCain and George Bush bear as much responsibility for passing that turd as Barack does, however I will say his support of Lending policies by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (Major contributors to his campaign, btw.) is substantially responsible for creating the mess in the first place.
That being said, Barack did indeed CAUSE the bulk of the deficit after assuming office because he submitted his excessive spending spree budget, and then on top of that, he asked for a trillion dollar STIMULUS PACKAGE that only stimulated his cronies and political supporters.
But you know what? I'm wasting my time and yours attempting to explain any of this to you. You are a supporter of the Unicorn rider because you like his political positions better than those of his opponents. (i.e. grownups.)
