Quite a nice list, unfortunately there is little to no news from each one of these companies, so probably the use of the words "race heat up" is not really the best one.

It' more like a race yet to start that is getting crowded at the start line

Psst, Giorgio, I'm trying to use psychology to get the snowball rolling... crowd effect and all that.

So the 'Helion Energy' and the 'msnwllc' show the same kit. Is this just one 'entry' to the race, then, but with two tickets?

How many of these have actually built kit under their 'own steam' [read: that the experiments were done with private/commercial money, rather than photos of academic projects that have carried over into 'paper' companies without experimental assets]? Some don't even seem to be able to muster a photo!

Good list. Excellent to have in the FAQ section if it isnt already.

Is John Slough in there anywhere?

Have to agree with Chris though, with the notable exception of Eric Lerner @ FoFu (Lawerencville), the lack of any published NEWS from any of these ventures is pitful [edit: 'disgraceful'].

I believe he's in there twice, in fact.
Temperature, density, confinement time: pick any two.

I didn't realize that Helion and MSNW are in the same town, so Slough must be associated with both. Don't see any names on the Helion site.

The bit of 'Flash Gordon' kit shown in the msnw pic is the same one as in Helion's publicity stuff. What's the connection? Is it one of the same, spin off, &c., other...?

DV, maybe you can edit my URL into your list. I guess it's overdue that I should start feeding in a few 'spoilers' on my work?

My plan worked! (At least the subplan of getting chris to post his fusion centrifuge thingy.)

...Helion President Philip Wallace...
Chris, I listed you next to last place because your page doesn't contain the word "fusion".

Tri-Alpha is in last place for not having a web site.

So we have 10.5 contenders in the starting gates. Counting Helion/MSNW as 1.5 since they seem to be connected.
