It was the entire town officials that got fired, not just the police.
I am not a nuclear physicist, but play one on the internet.

If that was replicated on a large scale you would have a very large number of unemployed police officers with restrictions on future employment due to corruption related charges. That could become very problematic in a hurry, same goes for the alphabet government agencies, people used to being in charge with weapons training struggling to pay bills.

Big city, huh? Pop. 477. LOL.

19 "city" cops for a population that size. That means about 4% of the "city dwellers" were cops. It was a self-feeding loop, annexing the highway and writing tickets, hiring more cops, writing more tickets, increased aggression against highway drivers (e.g. the Rambo guy writing tickets with the full-auto rifle on his chest). I bet real crime was probably high too, because stopping that isn't where the money was!

How many cops does one need? So you have your city cops, then your county sheriffs, then your state police and then your F.B.I and Marshals.

And it is never enough, I guess! Add some bayonets into the mix! ;)

There are so many things wrong.
