.... climb a 2625 foot ladder up and down a vertical cliff.

Grand-dad's tales about walking 6 miles to and from school, uphill both ways, suddenly become irrelevant.

Although I must say, this could have its merits as a physical fitness program.

That's nuts. I've climbed tall towers (1000') and climbing that far is incredibly dangerous for a kid.


Doing it repeatedly is just asking for a tragedy.

Why not put some telepresence classroom seats at the kid's location and not make them climb the 2625' cliff in the first place. And it would probably be cheaper than the stairs.

A very practical solution. And the laugh of it is, they can't complain about that involving a dependence on foreign technology, because China is making that stuff already.
