Was this approach covered?
The idea is not new and the issue with this approach has always been the cost of water electrolysis.
It seems like the guy is pretty confident, and it would be interesting to see some actual cost and power calculations spreadsheet for the H2 generation as the mentioned 1 $ a kg is indeed quite a feat if the value is correct.
Consider that actual industrial costs for H2 manufacture is between 5 and 10 $ a kg, the range depending from the H source and the place of manufacture. On the website they still mention a cost of H2 manufacture of 2.5 $ a kg, so a clarification would be great.
By the way, his website is nuts. It bring me back to my first internet experience with my USRobotics 2400 bps from my student period.
Man, those was great times, "ATDT....." and the world was at the tip of your fingers

Yes I have almost photographic memory of the same general scheme in an MIT article way back as a fresh undergrad. Seemed like total common sense but nothing panned out.
I've totally moved out of physical engineering (software) so I thought I'd ask if anyone could confirm/debunk this one.
It does seem credible at a glance.
USRobotics 2400 bps
instant flashback to the look and feel of those modems with their magic flashing lights to the information superhighway
Yeah and we'd gossip about such and such across town having one of the latest 14k or 56k, and wonder how incredible that speed must be.
