Socialism, And the Lights Then Go Out…

Entire Detroit Public Lighting system is down
Progressive decay (so to speak), progressive bankruptcy, but then Detroit can’t print money (which only lasts until inflation becomes severe). Hands up don’t shoot propaganda machine though will explain it all away. For those that say this is only an outage, please bare in mind that maintenance is the first thing to get short changed in a financial failure.
"The city's Public Lighting Department is working closely with DTE during this process."
DTE Energy Co. spokesman Scott Simons said "it looks like the entire Detroit Public Lighting system is down. Affecting about 100 buildings, places like The Joe, Frank Murphy Hall of Justice, fire stations, schools. We were notified about 10:30 a.m. We're working with them to help resolve the situation. We'll help investigate the problem and make repairs. It's too early yet to determine what has caused the shutdown."
Detroit Public Lighting system couldn't be reached for immediate comment.

Check out Venezuela lately. :)

Venezuela, always a beacon of light demonstrating what Progressive socialism can do for the poor. Now if only 'hands up' propaganda could feed the poor.

Well a large number of Republicans favor Socialism for criminals. You would think that the history masters would have learned something from 1920 to 1933. You would be mistaken.

Fortunately the American people seem to be smarter than their government. Generally.

Well. You have to look at the election results of 2014. Occasionally it takes a blow to the head for people to notice they are being attacked.

Prohibition suffered a number of blows and yet the Prohibitionist Party got elected almost everywhere. If that Party attacks Obamacare and ramps down Prohibition I think they will do well in 2016. If they forget why they were elected and continue their social crusades they may have a very difficult time in 2016. It would be a shame.
