Not a clue. His LinkedIn page still lists him at EMC2.

Dr Park could certainly wear more than one hat, IE: be associated with more than one company or any specific plasma physics endeavor. So any speculation is very , well... speculative...

I would interpret this as potential good news.
As I understand DR. Park makes hardware work. Proves concepts, tests and checks ,makes things go...
A real Executive Director (CEO) is to design, develop and implement strategic plans for the organization in a cost-effective and time-efficient manner. The Executive Director is also responsible for the day-to-day operation of the organization. This includes managing committees and staff as well as developing business plans in collaboration with the board.
CEO are hired for their Rolodex ,not for making hardware work. If they need a real CEO then they are going to the next phase. (sometimes they are hired to shut things down but pollywell is not that big that it should need anyone in that capacity)

Did I really just date myself and say Rolodex???
I am not a nuclear physicist, but play one on the internet.

Probably rhetorical, just installed Skype for the first time, not having any requirement previous. Went to check EMC2's website for updates and Skype numbers show up, not that I'm going to pester them or anything.
